I just finished composing and producing a series of pieces for the amazing WNYC show The New Yorker Radio Hour with host David Remnick. I'm a huge fan of the magazine, and its new radio version is as rigorous, astounding and entertaining as one could expect. Needless to say it's quite an honor to be a part of it. I produced some of their theme music in a quite unusual fashion, as all the sounds on the pieces were generated on the double bass only, then processed and mixed resulting in a pretty unique sound palette. You can listen to one of the pieces here.
I Also scored a breathtaking piece by the incredible journalist Ben Taub about the war crimes of the Assad Regime in Syria. I wrote and produced two pieces based on Maqam music. Check it out!
